Biometric and Voice Notice
Version 2026-10-23
Some features of your assistant recognize faces and voices. Laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the Texas law on biometric identifiers and the Washington biometric law treat that data as biometric. This notice says what we collect, why, how long we keep it and how it is destroyed.
- What we collect. When you ask your assistant to recognize you or a person you introduced in photos, videos or calls, it makes a face or voice template, a set of numbers that describes that face or voice, and keeps it in your space with the photos that show the person. When you turn on the voice check for calls in the Zhorvel app, it keeps a template of your own voice to confirm that it is you.
- Your consent. We collect a template only after consent. For you, that is your consent when you turn on the feature or ask your assistant to remember you. For another person, you confirm that they agreed, and they can ask us or the assistant at any time to delete their template. If you live in Illinois, Texas or Washington, do not ask your assistant to recognize another person unless that person has agreed in writing.
- Strangers. Your assistant does not identify people you have not introduced to it. It never matches faces or voices against public sources or other accounts, and templates are never shared between accounts.
- Why. Only to recognize the people you chose in your own photos, videos and calls, and to confirm that it is you on a call. We never sell, lease or trade templates, never profit from them and never use them for advertising or to train AI models. We disclose them only to providers that process data for us under contract, or where the law requires it.
- How long, and destruction. A template is deleted when you tell your assistant to forget the person, you included, when the person asks, or when your account is deleted, and in any case no later than 3 years after your last use of the service. Deleted templates leave backups as those backups expire.
- Protection. We protect templates with at least the care we give the most sensitive data we hold.
- Your assistant's own voice. Your assistant speaks with a synthetic voice. It may not imitate the voice of a real person unless that person agreed in writing.
- Contact. To ask for deletion or with questions: requests@lomray.com.
